Ram Chandra Ghosh & Ors. Vs. The State of West Bengal & Ors.

The case of Ram Chandra Ghosh & Ors versus The State of West Bengal/Secretary/ Collector & District Magistrate/Spl. Land Acquisition Officer, Burdwan/General Manager BSNL/ Chief General Manager BSNL was litigated by Advocate Rajesh Kshetry. He was handling the case on behalf of the petitioner Ram Chandra Ghosh & Ors.

What is the issue?

The issue was Ram Chandra Ghosh & Ors. owned 1.14 acres of land situated at R.S. Plot No. 699, J.L. No. 21 of Mouza Katwa, Burdwan. The respondents had approached the petitioners requesting them to offer their land for construction of Automatic Telephone Exchange and Micro Waves Tower E.T.C. and maintaining essential supplies and services to the community at large in the year 1983. A settlement payment of an amount as decided was to be paid to the petitioners. The petitioners were assured that upon assessment, the valuation price of the land which was more than a crore would be paid to them.

The respondents failed to pay full and final assessment to the petitioner.

Failing to receive any compensation for their land whatsoever, the petitioners approached Advocate Rajesh Kshetry to help and aid them to retrieve the compensation amount.

This property dispute was initiated way back in 1983/84. Advocate Rajesh Kshetry’s precise arguments convinced the Ld. Judge to pass the order against the respondents, thus compelling them to pay the compensation money.

Advocate Rajesh Kshetry’s sheer grit and determination helped to close this long drawn case.
